Always known for its interior spaciousness, for 2023 the Suburban's space for both passengers and cargo has been increased, with more legroom in the second and third rows of seating, and a lower and flatter floor increases total available cargo room to 145 cu. ft., the best in its class, and the Suburban can seat up to nine persons, although most are configured to seat seven. Many of the features of previous years remain constant, like the 8.0 inch infotainment touchscreen on the base LS level and a 10.2 inch touchscreen, with Google Maps, on the higher levels, which also feature wireless charging and Bose audio. But for 2023 GM's Super Cruise hands-free technology is available on the Premier and High Country trim levels.

There are several new exterior colors available for 2023 as well. All trim levels have multiple charging ports as well as WiFi, and all new Suburbans have forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams and a following-distance indicator, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available. Optional in the Premier and standard in the High Country is a rear-camera monitor that takes the place of the conventional rear-view mirror.
