Chevy Silverado Engines by Model

The light-duty Chevy Silverado 1500 has six engine options

  • Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 generates 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque
  • 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 generates 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque
  • 5.3L EcoTec 3 V8 with either Dynamic or Active Fuel management generates 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque
  • 4.3L EcoTec V6 generates 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque
  • 2.7L Turbo generates 310 hp and lb-ft of torque

The heavy-duty Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD have a gasoline engine and a diesel engine option:

  • 6.6L V8 gas engine with 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque for plenty of hauling power in Crystal River. It can trailer up to 17,370 pounds.
  • Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 generates 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque to tow up to 35,500 pounds.
